And if you haven’t got any proper backups, your business could plummet hard without any chance of a comeback. You need a secure system with strong firewalls and data protection programs. You need to constantly have your data backed up somewhere remote that not many people know about. If you can’t do that yourself, then don’t worry, there are many good and reliable companies that can help with backing up your data and files. You need to digitize everything you have, papers and binders don’t last long. It shouldn’t be your only source of backup. Not to mention you need a solid and proper system to actually function properly, a system that would make your day to day activities more efficient and productive.
A strong business continuity strategy should have all the necessary provisions to protect your information with a data recovery and backup plan. But that’s not the same or enough, a complete business continuity plan should consider a lot more than just protection and backup. It should also have better and alternative ways to keep your business, functional, efficient, and productive. Strive to be better, don’t be an old relic of the past.
