After a grueling 15 months of pandemic life, 66% will be spending Father’s Day in person this year according to a healthinsurance.com national survey of 1,000 U.S. adults. 74% think Dads deserve an extra special Father’s Day this year and there’s a good reason why. 72% of men say they have taken on more household chores during the pandemic. 37% feel more stressed working from home and an additional 37% say they are looking for a new job. 42% of Dads say they are struggling to work full time while caring for their children.

Despite the challenges of pandemic life, 53% of men said the thing they will miss most about pandemic life is all the extra family time. In fact, 40% of men say their relationship with their spouse or partner is better now than before the pandemic.

More men are also taking better care of themselves. 83% of men say they have been paying more attention to their health since the start of the pandemic. While an additional 73% have improved their self-care. When it comes to monitoring their health, men are embracing technology more than any other demographic. 64% of men are now using wearables like a FitBit or an Apple Watch to monitor their health and 81% say they will continue using telemedicine once the pandemic is over.

The survey of 1,000 Adults was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen from June 2-6, 2021. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied to the overall sample and lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population. Margin of Sampling Error: +/- 3.1 percentage points (for full sample)
